Establishing Birth Certificates so Destitute Children Can Attend School

In Cameroon, children obtain the First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) upon completion of six years elementary education.  Due to a lack of finances, parents are unable to present children’s birth certificates which are required for the FSLC and admission to secondary and professional schools.  Rose’s personal experience in sending a 16 year old boy to school was the inspiration to alleviate poverty and create a more literate and self reliant society, that depends on its own educated and hard working citizens to fund basic community projects and provide basic societal needs.  With 25 years of experience as a judge, Rose is helping to provide every child with the right to education by establishing birth certificates for destitute children through the Christian Legal Fellowship.
