Holding Up Women as Global Peace Builders

In the world today, there are women who have no name and are treated as property, baby girls considered unworthy of life and children sold into brothels. Josie is passionate about seeing women achieve equity in global society so that they are valued and respected. Her project will study how women are confronting militarism and building peace worldwide by identifying and promoting grassroots groups. Josie wants to engage, promote and facilitate women as global peace builders because she believes women’s equal representation and participation, wherever peace and security decisions are made, will change the world.
