Increasing the Capacity of Women Leaders through Sharing of Best Practices

Alice has been grounded in both the realities and possibilities of women achieving their highest potential based on her own history.  She was raised in rural Ghana, educated in the U.S., has traveled in France and Guatemala and now lives in California, working with the Global Fund for Women (GFW).  Alice will analyze how organizations in each of GFW's five regions are developing innovative, transformative female leadership models that buck the conventional, hierarchical leadership approach.  Alice’s vision is to produce future women leaders equipped with the capacity to break new barriers and promote a new culture of participatory and shared leadership.

Vision:

Empower and equip all women and girls to be whole women, whole leaders to fulfill their visions for a whole world:  By October 2010, the whole staff of Global Fund for Women, African Women's Development Fund and Urgent Action Fund Africa will graduate from the Women Leaders for the World training program
